Ok, He won't be leaving for almost 3 weeks, he went in and had a meeting today with the 1st. Sgt. So I get almost 3 weeks with him until he is "gone" Then, if I wanted to, he will be sitting in SC until his class opens up, so I could potentially visit him there for a bit!
We think next week is "it" He will be leaving first to MEPS, then on to training. He will be gone for 2 months. *sigh* This is bittersweet. I mean, we have been anxious for him to go and get this over with, but then he has to be gone to do that. I don't want him gone, we haven't been apart one night since we started dating 2 yrs ago. I swear he is the other half of me and my heart will only beat twice for missing it's other half. I am crying and emotional as I type this, I know this is good for us, our family, but its just not going to be easy at all. *big deep breath* Well, anyhoo. He will be either done at Christmas or be home for Christmas anyway (School will be closed) so I will be planning a wonderful Holiday celebration for when he comes home. We are trying to throw a Farewell Party before he leaves, but we don't know if we can pull it off so last minute! We will see if we can hold it at church and maybe have a small prayer service with him. anyhoo... that's the skinny on us. certainly NOT the "skinny" on me as I realize I am the fattest little thing on the planet and I will be rolling around here soon. LOL
