I bought a computer in Januaryish. 07 ($425.00 - plus tax)
It is a Compaq with an AMD Sempron chip - Windows XP, CDR, DVD Player, 512 RAM, 40 GB HD,
I am throwing in a flat panel LCD monitor, webcam, mic and a wireless usb internet connection. (you'll need the wireless router)
I can also preload with all the software I have - Paint Shop Pro X, Microsoft Office Suite, Front Page, Adobe, Just to name a few... ( I can list what I have and you can pick what you'd like.)
Only Asking $500.00 plus shipping.
I bought this in January-ish, then my son bought me my laptop and it's been sitting since. Very nice setup & machine, used for a little over a month? (got the laptop about a month before Gabe was born, so not long.)
